Thank you for your interest in this incredible program. The number of applications each year grows and acceptance into the program isn't guaranteed. We highly recommend that you read the information below and discuss your participation with your CIO/librarian ahead of time.
Applications close on 5th June 2026. Unfortunately due to the high volume of applications late submissions cannot be accepted.
Application to the 2027 program will open in April 2027. Application links for IT and library participants will be added at that time.
When you submit your application you will receive a duplicate copy to your inbox. Please check your spam/junk folder. You may not hear anything further until 1-2 weeks after the closing date. Where there are multiple applications from your institution, we will seek the priority placement from your CIO/Librarian. First priority will typically be offered a place and the second will be placed on a wait list. We will do our best to let you know the outcome of your application as soon as possible and we thank you for your patience during this time :)
Circumstances can change and occasionally cancellations open up vacancies for those on the wait-list. If a vacancy opens up selection will be via 'lottery' and we will do our best to give you as much notice as possible, however, in some instances due to profiling work required before the program begins, you may only be given a very short time frame to prepare and onboard into the program. We know that this can feel rushed and we appreciate all that you do to help secure your placement in the program.
Due to the strong reputation of this program, we manage a waitlist each year, therefore, if you have applied and can no longer attend please let us know within three weeks of your placement confirmation so that your spot can be offered to a waitlisted applicant.
Withdrawals after this time cannot be offered to another person due to the profiling that each applicant must complete. Where your placement has been successfully transferred to an alternative applicant, there is no financial obligation to you. Where your withdrawal is not able to be offered to an alternative applicant, refunds will be processed inline with the CAUDIT refund police and include all hard costs associated with withdrawing from the program such as accommodation block bookings and contracted activities associated with the program.
Timing is critical therefore please let us know as soon as possible if your circumstances change by reaching out to Cassandra Spencer, CAUDIT Director Capability & Experience, and we will work out the best solution for you.
CAUDIT acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the lands where we live, learn and work. We pay our respects to Elders past and present and celebrate the stories, culture and traditions of all First Nations people.
