The 2026 Leadership Institute will run from 17 - 21 August 2026

The CAUDIT Leadership Institute (CLI) is one week residential dynamic, immersive program designed to enhance the leadership skills of Australian and New Zealand University information professionals. The program has been developed for information technology, library and eResearch managers within higher education who aspire to senior leadership positions, and who have had several years of management experience.

In a time of a rapidly changing and an increasingly digitally connected world, the ability to lead change is a core attribute of any organisation. Universities are a vital part of any evolving society, providing expertise on contemporary world problems and producing the workforce of the future.

The role of Information professionals across IT and Libraries in HE continues to be elevated and their expertise of the impact of digital opportunities on the strategic outputs of our institutions is seen as an essential. CIOs and Librarians have the challenge of ensuring that their organisations have the requisite leadership capabilities in addition to technical competence so that they and their teams can drive innovation and guide their Universities to a new, information-rich, globally connected future...
